In the southern part of Argentina, in the Patagonia region, large-scale forest fires continue, because of which 37 thousand hectares have already burned out.
According to local media, fire covered two national parks in one of the largest tourist regions of the country.
Presidential spokesman Manuel Adornie said that in connection with the natural disasters, the authorities decided to create the Federal Emergency Agency under the Ministry of National Security.
Argentina Security Minister Patricia Bullrich noted the importance of a new agency.
“At the moment, the country has 12 different structures responsible for the fight against fires, floods and other natural disasters. The new agency will promptly and effectively respond to emergency situations in real time,” she said.
In Argentina, thousands of hectares of forest burn out annually, which is associated with both climatic changes and the human factor.
