In Astrakhan Region Of Russian Federation They Plan To Create Logistics Center Of Turkmenistan

In the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation, they plan to create a logistics center of Turkmenistan. The joint project of Russia and Turkmenistan will work on the basis of a port special economic zone (SEZ).

According to local media, representatives of the regional government are discussing a program with colleagues from Ashgabat.

“It is necessary to ensure a 100 percent freight loading of these projects. In this regard, we agreed with our Turkmenistan partners this year to hold a large business forum with the participation of entrepreneurs of the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan,” said Vladimir Golovkov, Minister of External Relations of the Astrakhan Region of the Russian Federation.

In particular, the International Forum will be held in Astrakhan, within the framework of which entrepreneurs plan to discuss joint projects and conclude contracts. Representatives of other regions of Russia will also be invited to negotiations.

In addition, the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation develops logistics activity with Iran. A joint company transporting goods operates. Now the parties are planning to implement new projects.
