Unknown persons tried to violate the state border of Azerbaijan by Iran. This is stated in the message of the press center of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan.
According to information, on April 26, in the service territory of the border detachment “Lenkoran” the command border border service, the border border guards noticed seven unknown persons trying to violate the state border. Border guards ordered the violators to stop by making a warning shot into the air.
However, the violators did not obey the order, exerted armed resistance to the border guards, opening fire on them. As a result of the use of weapons by a border guards in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of Azerbaijan, one of the border violators was neutralized at the scene of the incident, three others, which had armed resistance, managed to flee in the opposite direction.
As a result of events held together with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there are detained.
As reported, during the inspection of the territory, three packages with a total weight of 51 kg 884 g with a substance resembling drugs, as well as a large number of psychotropic tablets, were found and seized.
Regarding the incident, a meeting was held with representatives of the border service of Iran.
