Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei told reporters that his country “is not going to strike in Ukraine and opposed the use of any weapons.”
“It should be noted that we are generally against the use of any weapon. I am convinced that there is always the opportunity to sit down at the negotiating table and find a solution to the problem. This is what our president (Alexander Lukashenko) constantly talks about.
.”
At the same time, the Minister was asked a clarifying question about the possibility of Russia’s use of the territory of Belarus to deliver a nuclear strike in Ukraine.
“Again, we are interested in stopping the conflict as quickly as possible. We are not going to strike,” Makei answered.
