Member of the House of Lords in the UK parliament David Evans during parliamentary debate called on the country’s government to put pressure on Yerevan to provide accurate maps of minefields, as well as to allocate financial assistance to Azerbaijan to cleanse the deacked territories.
“I am grateful to the UK government for financial assistance in the amount of 1 million pounds for clearance in Azerbaijan. 260 Azerbaijanis died or were injured, having blown up in mines in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan over the past two years, Armenia refuses to disclose any information about 3890 Azerbaijanis who went missing during the First Karabakh war. What negotiations, if any, did our government hold with the Government of Armenia regarding the provision of accurate maps of the mineral fields of Azerbaijan? What further support does the British government consider? ”Asked Evans.
Another member of the House of Lords, Baroness Udun also called on the British government to convince Armenia to fully cooperate with Azerbaijan.
The fact is that after the conclusion of a tripartite agreement on the ceasefire, Azerbaijanis did not provide any details about 3890 missing Azerbaijanis. What does the government do to convince the Armenian government to fully cooperate with the Azerbaijanis to eradicate these prolonged humanitarian crises? ”Asked Udun.
