In Brussels There Is Meeting Of High -level Economic Dialogue Between Turkey And EU

After a six -year break in Brussels, a meeting of an economic dialogue between Turkey and the European Union takes place.

The meeting, which began in the morning at the headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels, has gathered many senior officials, including the Minister of Finance and Treasury of Turkey Mehmet Shimshek, the EU Commissioner for the Economics of Valdis Dombrovskis and the EU Commissioner for the expansion of March Kos.

The first part of the meeting will discuss the macroeconomic prospects of Turkey and the EU, steps that can be taken in the field of competitiveness, and structural reforms. These sessions will be jointly president by Minister Shimshka and Commissioner Dombrovskis.

In the second part, leading representatives of the business circles of Turkey and the EU will meet with ministers and commissars to assess the possibilities of joint investment and trade.

Meetings will also visit high -ranking heads of European financial institutions, such as the European Investment Bank, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development and the Bank of the Council of Europe for Development.

It is expected that as part of the meetings, the Minister of Shimshek will also hold bilateral meetings with Dombrovskis and Kos.

The meeting is important for strengthening economic relations between the parties and deepening strategic cooperation.

A meeting of a high -level economic dialogue between Turkey and the EU was previously held in 2016, 2017 and 2019.

Shimshek also represented Turkey at the first meeting.
