In Brussels, They Discussed Key Issues Of European Integration Of Moldova

In Brussels, a meeting was held by the Deputy Prime Minister in European integration of the Republic of Moldova Kristina Gerasimov and the Commissioner of the European Union on the expansion of Martha Kos. The main topics of the discussion were current events in the European agenda and preparation for the official signing of the growth plan for the Republic of Moldova, reports Moldipres.

During the visit, the organizational moments of the second trip of Martha Kos to the Republic of Moldova, planned on May 9-11, were also considered. As part of the visit, the EU commissar will visit several settlements in the north, in the center and south of the country to get acquainted with local traditions and life of the inhabitants.

“We agreed even more details regarding the second visit of the commissar to the Republic of Moldova, which will take place on May 9-11, during which she will visit several settlements in the north, in the center and in the south of the country to better know our villages and cities, customs and people,” Gerasimov said.

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Kristina Gerasimov is in Brussels as part of the assessment of Chapter 29 of the process of joining the European Union dedicated to the Customs Union.

The meeting was held with the participation of representatives of the Republic of Moldova and the European Commission as part of the bilateral screening of this chapter.

Gerasimov also took part in the international conference “New General Chapter for the EU Extension”, organized at the invitation of the progressive alliance of socialists and democrats – the second largest political group in the European parliament.
