In Canada Filed Lawsuit In Connection With Removal Of Girl In Hijab From Classes On Kaide

In Canada, the Quebec Human Rights Commission filed a lawsuit in connection with an incident with a 12-year-old girl who was removed from karate classes under the pretext of wearing a scarf.

According to CTV News, the materials of the commission said that the family considered that it was faced with injustice and isolation, and also expressed concern to the negative impact of this situation on a 12-year-old child.

In addition, the commission demanded compensation for the girl’s family for the injustice caused in the amount of 13 thousand dollars.

Previously, the Karate Auto Defense Lamarre coach told the girl that she will not be able to attend classes if she does not remove the scarf, since, according to him, the karate philosophy requires all the same form.

Meanwhile, in the Canadian Karate Karate Canada Federation, they said that wearing a scarf in this sport is not prohibited, and published a photo of an athlete in a scarf at the tournament. “The World Karate Federation confirms that the competitions can be used in competitions,” the statement said.
