For almost two weeks in France, twenty -five people were detained in connection with attacks on prisons.
According to the national media reports, 25 suspects were detained as part of the investigation of the National Anti -Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office in connection with attacks on prisons and prison employees in France since mid -April.
Minister of Justice Gerald Darmanen in his post on the social network X thanked law enforcement and judicial authorities for their efforts to capture the suspects.
April 14-16 and April 21 in France attacked prisons in cities such as Tuno, Marseille and Luin, after which an investigation was launched.
Darmanen said that the government would not retreat before various “intimidation attempts”, starting from arson of cars and ending with firing from automatic weapons.
The Minister described attacks on prisons as “acts of terrorism.”
