The production of the Russian vaccine from the coronavirus of a new type “satellite V” in Europe can begin a year after its approval by the European Medicine Agency (EMA), said the Commissioner on the internal market of Thierry Breton, who oversees the Vaccination Policy in the European Commission. His words leads TASS.
“If the vaccine is tested in the coming weeks or months, and a way to produce it in Europe will be found, it will take at least 10-14 months before the first dose party will be manufactured,” said Breton.
According to him, in such a situation, the Russian drug will not be able to influence the COVID-19 pandemic in the European Union, as it will not be a response to today’s problems. At the same time, the Eurocomissar stressed that he has no reason to doubt the effectiveness of the “satellite V”.
