Russian troops are potentially preparing for a large-scale occurrence in the east of Ukraine in the coming days, reports CNN with reference to the official representative of the French military headquarters, Colonel Pascal Lanny.
According to him, Russian troops intend to capture the Donetsk and Lugansk regions or even move towards the Dnieper. “Over the next few days, it is possible about 10 days, Russia may resume its efforts on large-scale offensive in the East and south to win the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, or even move up to the Dnieper, if it enables its capabilities,” he noted .
Lanny believes that Russian troops apply aerideuses and bombing in Ukraine not only with the aim of weakening the coherence of the Ukrainian defense system, but also to violate the logistics movement and the potential of Ukraine, which explains the complete destruction of the Dnieper airport by Russian troops. “At this stage there was no significant progress from the point of view of the territorial achievements of Russian troops on the Eastern Front,” he added.
