In Georgia, five members of the terrorist group “Islamic State” (IG) were detained. They planned to move to Syria, reports TASS with reference to the security service of Georgia.
Militants detained in the Kakheti region, employees of the Counter-Terrorism Center of the RAC together with the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. All detainees are citizens of Georgia.
“The investigation found that five Georgian citizens became members of the Islamic State of the Terrorist organization and planned to move to Syria to the terrorist camp,” the report says.
