Protesters against the official results of the parliamentary elections in Georgia installed tents in the square in front of the building of the legislative body in the capital of the country of Tbilisi.
Opposition supporters installed tents in front of the parliament in order to prevent his first meeting, at which it is planned to choose a speaker, vice-speakers and heads of committees.
The demonstrators with the flags of Georgia and the EU made a procession from the Square of the Republic to the Prospekt Shot Rustaveli, where the parliament building is located.
During the rally, the opposition’s leaders accused the government of fakes in the elections and demanded a repeated election.
In Georgia, on October 26, parliamentary elections were held. Based on the results of the vote, the ruling party “Georgian Dream” won, gaining 53.93 percent of the vote and receiving 89 out of 150 mandates in parliament.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili filed a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court of the country demanding not to recognize the results of the parliamentary elections.
