On Saturday, about a thousand Hungarians took to the streets to protest against the government of Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The action has become the next in a series of protests, which lasted since the FIDES party, the legislation that has significantly increased the taxation of small enterprises, writes MIGNEWS.
On Tuesday, protesters overlapped one of the bridges in Budapest, however, a government bill proving taxes for hundreds of thousands of small enterprises was still adopted.
Now the level of inflation in Hungary is the highest in two decades, the national currency has fallen to a record minimum, and the provision of funds to the country remains in question against the backdrop of a dispute about democratic standards.
Saturday rally was organized by the long-standing opponent of Orban Peter Mark-Zaim, whose opposition alliance was defeated in the April parliamentary elections. However, a small number of shares participants indicates that anti -government sentiments are not strong even in Budapest, where the opposition showed its best result in April.
