Most of the sick coronavirus in India after complete or partial vaccination were infected with the line B.1.617 SARS-COV-2, including three strains, the study of Indian doctors, report “RIA Novosti”.
doctors revealed in India 63 cases of a breakthrough infection – the so-called case of a disease, in which the vaccinated person is ill to the same disease that should prevent vaccine.
“Our analysis included 63 cases of infection caused by a breakthrough infection … 36 patients received two doses of vaccine, while 27 received one dose of vaccine. Ten patients received Covishield, and 53 – COVAXIN. The average age of patients was 37 years old (21 -92), of which 41 are man and 22 women. Neither one of the patients had no concomitant diseases that could serve as a predisposing factor for breakthrough infections, “said the preprint of articles prepared by the doctors of the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi and Institute genomics and integrative biology.
In this case, most of the diseases after the study were found strain from line B.1.617.
“B.1.617.2 turned out to be the predominant line with 23 samples, of which 12 were completely vaccinated, and 11 – partially vaccinated. Four samples and one sample were attributed to lines B.1.617.1 and B.1.1.7, respectively “, – according to research in preprints.
Strain B.1.617 was first revealed in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Also known as a strain with double mutation, recently it was found in a variety of countries. As Indian doctors reported, this strain could become one of the reasons for the second wave of coronavirus in India.
