As a result of interdepa-tribal conflicts in the north-west of Pakistan, 35 people were killed.
Kurram district, located 218 kilometers from Peshavar, the administrative center of the Pakistani Province of Haibert Pakhtunhi, is an arena of frequent interdep-tribe conflicts.
According to local media, citing security forces, a conflict broke out between the Sunni and Shiite tribes in the Kurram district.
Armed people set fire to shops, houses and government property in the areas of Bagan and Bacha Kot. During the clashes, 35 people were killed, another 25 were injured.
“Educational institutions in Kurram are closed due to violent incidents. The parties shoot each other from heavy and automatic weapons,” said the police representative, who did not want to give his name.
There are fears that the spiral of interdepa -tribal violence in the Kurram district on the border with Afghanistan will only increase.
