The Simurg Supercomputer developed in Iran is a performance of at least quadrillion operations per second successful testing was held, the Minister of Information and Communication Technologies of the country of Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi reported, RIA Novosti reports.
“Artificial intelligence is the driving force of the future economy in Iran and the world. Iranian youth managed to create an Sumurg supercomputer with the necessary processing capacity measured in Petaflops,” the Minister’s statement quotes Tasnim agency.
The minister added that the official presentation of the supercomputer will take place in the near future.
One Petaflops is one quadrillion operations per second.
