In Iran, they carried out a verdict against a person sentenced to death on charges of murder of a policeman. This was reported by Iranian news agency Irna with reference to the chief prosecutor of Tehran Ali Salehi.
Salikhi recalled that the prisoner, whose personality was not disclosed, killed a policeman with a knife during his escape from the police station, where he was delivered after a robbery in Tehran in July 2021.
The prosecutor noted that the attacker was later caught and arrested, and the court sentenced him to the death penalty.
“The death sentence was carried out with the approval of the Supreme Court of Appeal and with the consent of the Police family,” the prosecutor added.
