The Israeli government, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, will not change policies against Ukraine and provide military assistance to Kyiv, the Politico newspaper reports with reference to an anonymous source among Israeli officials.
“In the policy of Israel in relation to Ukraine there are no changes,” said the interlocutor.
Israel sent Kyiv foods, medications, water and other humanitarian aid, but did not offer military equipment.
Earlier, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, Mikhail Podolyak, said that the new prime minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu could become an effective intermediary between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
Podolyak emphasized that he has no doubt that Netanyahu will become an effective intermediary, since the Israeli prime minister understands what modern wars are, as well as the essence of mediation in the current conditions.
