The second round of consultations of the delegations of Russia and the USA in Istanbul will begin at 10:00 local time. This was announced by TASS a source close to negotiations.
The Russian delegation at consultations will be headed by Ambassador to Washington, Alexander Darchiev, and the American deputy assistant to the Secretary of State and Eurasia Sonata Coleter.
A car with a Russian delegation has already arrived at the place of negotiations with the United States in the Russian Consulate General in Istanbul.
On the eve of the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova said that the theme of negotiations between the USA and Russia in Istanbul will be the work of embassies.
“The subject work, which is now in constant mode, will continue to eliminate numerous barriers, including technical, which make it difficult for the life of the diplomats of the two countries,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, representatives of the delegations of the Russian Federation and the United States met in Istanbul on February 27. The negotiations that took place in the residence of the US Genconsul continued for 6.5 hours and were devoted to the return to the normal work of the diplomatic representatives of the two countries. The meeting in Istanbul has become one of the results of a high level in Saudi Arabia on February 18.
