In total, experts examined more than a thousand square kilometers of the water area, processed – about 36 thousand square meters.
In the Kerch Strait, on December 15, tankers crashed with fuel oil “Volgonft 212” and “Volgonft 239”, a fuel spill occurred. Oil products carried ashore, pollution stretched by more than 60 km.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, during the crash of tankers, four tanks with oil products were damaged, about 2.4 thousand tons of fuel oil hit the sea. In total, more than 102 thousand tons of sand with fuel oil were taken off the coast of the Kuban.
On December 25, the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev introduced the emergency mode in the region. On December 26, the Government Commission, chaired by the head of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kurenkov, decided to introduce the federal level emergency.
