In Kyiv, They Discussed Cooperation In Defense Industry Between Ukraine And Sweden

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umarov met in Kyiv with the Commander -in -Chief of the Sweden, General Michaelem Classon, during which the main issue of the discussion was the industrial cooperation between the two countries.

“In Kyiv, I was an honor to accept the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces of Sweden, General Mikael Classon. The key topic is industrial cooperation,” the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense said in telegrams.

According to Umarov that Sweden has advanced technologies, in Ukraine – production capabilities and combat experience.

“Our common task is to unite these opportunities. We already have specific offers that will allow this year to launch production projects in the field of defense industry,” the minister said.

The parties also discussed other Ukrainian defense needs, such as the creation of joint ventures with the possibility of localizing production in Ukraine; Expanding interaction between governments and defense companies of the two countries and further steps for the implementation of strategic initiatives in the field of weapons.

The Minister of Defense thanked for the unshakable support of Ukraine.

“I thank Sweden for firm support! Together we strengthen the safety of Europe,” Umarov added.
