In the first six months of the presidency of Claudia Shanbaum in Mexico, more than 750 narcological laboratories associated with cartels were destroyed. This was announced by the Minister of Security of Omar Garcia Harfuh at a daily press conference.
He noted that these operations, in particular, against criminal organizations performing methamphetamine, led to “multimillion -dollar losses” for cartels. As part of the fight against drug production in 17 Mexican states, more than 750 “hidden” laboratories of methamphetamine and “assembly areas” were destroyed.
Harfuh also said that during the operations, 17,258 people were arrested related to crimes of a high degree of danger.
