In Ministry of Health, a meeting was held with ambassador of Cuba

The Azerbaijan Ministry of Health held a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba in our country by Carlos Enrique Valdes de la Concepsion, reports haqqin.az.

The meeting was also attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Cuba Ruslan Rzaev.

Having greeted the guests, the Minister of Health Teymur Musaev emphasized that the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Cuba are successfully continuing both in bilateral and multilateral formats. Teimur Musaev noted that interstate cooperation in the field of healthcare and medical science, as in all areas of cooperation between our countries, is an exemplary: “A clear example of this is in 2020 as part of events aimed at preventing the widespread spread of the Covid -19 infection in The brigade of Cuban experts arrived our country. This step is simultaneously an indicator of solidarity, which will make a significant contribution to the further strengthening of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Cuba. “

In his speech, Teimur Musaev emphasized that the developed Cuban National Health System was recognized as one of the best in the world. According to him, the presence and training of highly qualified medical personnel, innovations and medical tourism have always been a visiting card of Cuba.

At the end, the minister expressed hope for the further successful development of cooperation in the field of healthcare, medical science and in other areas.

In turn, Carlos Enrique Valde de la Concepsion emphasized that Cuba pays special attention to relations with Azerbaijan. The ambassador recalled that this year it turned thirty years since the date of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. According to him, there are close ties between Azerbaijan and Cuba in many areas: “Arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic from Cuba to Azerbaijan of the Brigade of Doctors is a clear indicator of these relations. I believe that our connections will continue to develop.”

Carlos Enrique Valde de la Concepsion also emphasized the importance of dynamic cooperation in the field of healthcare and medical science.

During the conversation, which was held in the spirit of constructive dialogue and mutual understanding, new prospects for the development and strengthening of Azerbaijani-Cuban cooperation in the field of the pharmaceutical industry were also discussed.
