The State Agency for Medical and Social Examination and Rehabilitation under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population took place with a group of Veterans of the Patriotic War with the participation of the chairman of the State Agency Anar Bayramov and the chairman of the State Employment Agency of Mustafa Abbasbayli.
The press service of the Ministry of Labor reported that the Veterans of the Patriotic War who took part in the meeting noted that the measures of social support for war veterans in Azerbaijan were generally welcomed by the public.
The work carried out to provide social support to participants in the 44-day war, as well as to assess the ability of the military personnel who were injured in hostilities, was brought to the attention.
Bayramov said that work in this direction was started from the first days of the end of the war. In houses and hospitals, preliminary examinations of veterans wounded in battles were conducted.
It was noted that work on the operational assessment of veterans disability, together with the bodies submitted in the relevant commission, continues today. 3000 veterans who have already undergone treatment have received a degree of disability. They are scheduled social payments.
Information was provided about the procedure for evaluating disability. It is emphasized that the main principle of actions in this area is the adoption of transparent, objective and fair decisions. In general, in the first 5 months of the year, the degree of disability was assigned to 30 thousand sheets, which is 2-3 times more than for the corresponding period of previous years. Over the past 3 years, more than 160 thousand disability appointments have been made.
It is noted that after the war of 200 military personnel of the Patriotic War, a total of 300 war disabled people were provided with high -tech prostheses of the latest generation. More than 1,400 war disabled people have been provided with more than 19.3 thousand rehabilitation funds, and 2,500 veterans – rehabilitation services.
Mustafa Abbasbayili noted the participation of veterans and members of the Slahids families in active employment policy programs. In the post -war period, 12,100 families and veterans were supported by active employment programs, 7,800 of them were involved in self -employment programs. For them they created small farms and enterprises.
It was also noted that the heads of ministries and departments regularly accept veterans both in the walls of departments and in the regions.
