Opposition Moldavian Party of Socialists (PSRM) holds a protest rally, participants in the action began a march from the parliament building to the Prosecutor General’s Office, RIA Novosti reports.
Opposition supporters gathered on Wednesday morning at the parliament building. Protesters hold the posters “Government resigned!”, “There is no increase in prices!”, “Freedom Dodon”, “There is no television justice” and others.
At the initiative of the organizers, the protesters decided to go through the march in the center of Chisinau, making a small stop at the government building. Deputy Vladimir One -Stalers said that the General Prosecutor’s Office of Moldova is the end point. At the same time, the ex -president Igor Dodon, detained on the eve, is in the Isolater of the Chisinau General Directorate – a five -minute walk from the building of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Recall, on Tuesday, acting The head of the anti -corruption prosecutor’s office, Elena Kazakova, said that Igor Dodon and one of his closest relatives Peter Merinyan were detained for 72 hours. The Prosecutor General’s Office of Moldova opened a criminal case on suspicion of corruption in connection with the video recording of the meeting of the ex-president of Moldova and the former leader of the democratic party Vladimir Plahotnyuk. Dodon through his lawyers said in social networks that he had evidence of his innocence. He regarded law enforcement agencies and his detention as “a political case that is sewn with white threads.” Dodon urged supporters of the PSRM to support protests.
