In Mongolia, the international rally-Raid Silk Road-2024, which started from the city of Tomsk in the Russian Federation, has ended, Montsame reports.
The Silk Road, one of the world’s largest rallys, has been held annually since 2009. In Mongolia, the event was held for the second time.
This time, 111 vehicles from 30 countries took part in the International Rally Raid, which took place from July 9 to 15.
According to the organizers, 278 vehicles and 752 people crossed the border through the Tsagannuur checkpoint in Aimak Bayan-Ulgy.
Participants in one of the most spectacular events in world motorsport drove through the territory of Aimakov Bayan-Ulgia, Hovd, Gov-Altai, Bayanchongor, Dundgov and finished in Ulaanbaatar. In total, the racers overcame 5500 km.
Complex and high-speed tracks near Ulan Battor kept the athletes in suspense to the very end. The grand battle ended with the festive ceremony of the finish.
