The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev discussed with the General Secretary of the Organization for Economic Cooperation (SEC) Assad Majid Khan bilateral relations.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the meeting took place in New York on the fields of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the main directions of the interaction of Kyrgyzstan with the OEC in the framework of its multilateral trade, economic, investment, financial, energy, tourist and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Kulubaev noted the significant potential of the OES for the development of regional cooperation.
In particular, the Foreign Minister emphasized the special significance of creating conditions for free movement of resources, goods and services in the space of the SEC, as well as the development of transport corridors. binding ports of the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea with Central Asia.
In turn, Khan thanked for the meeting and active participation of Kyrgyzstan in the regional events of the SEC. In this context, he expressed hope for participating at a high level in the upcoming meeting of the SMID OES in Tehran in 2024.
