In New York, Ministerial Meeting Was Held In Format “C5+1”

, as part of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, a ministerial meeting of C5+1 was held with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Kyrgyz Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev, Tajikistan – Sirodzhiddin Mukhriddin, Uzbekistan – Bakhtier Saidov, and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan – Rashid Meredov. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

The heads of foreign policy departments again confirmed the importance of the regional “C5+1” regional platform to achieve common security goals, including solving transnational challenges, economic well -being and promoting human rights, including expanding women’s rights, protecting children and persons with disabilities .

Participants emphasized the importance of implementing the agreements reached according to the results of the summit of the heads of state “C5+1”, and reflected in the New York Declaration.

During the speech, the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan shared the vision of the country’s president Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev about the role of Central Asia in the global geopolitical landscape.

In particular, he noted that the key priorities of the states of the region are the search for complex approaches to solving nodal issues in the fight against traditional and new threats, as well as the development of response measures.

Nurtleu also indicated that the consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia in August VI contributed to the further strengthening of integration processes and economic interconnectedness in the region.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Blinken noted that 2025 will be marked by a decade of solid cooperation between the United States and Central Asia as part of the C5+1 platform and emphasized the adherence of the United States to search for regional solutions to global problems in partnership with the countries of the region.

The meeting participants also emphasized the timeliness of the initiative to launch the B5+1 platform and dialogue for critical minerals, the practical results of which can become a driver of economic growth.
