Georgian Foreign Minister Elijah Darchiashvili held a meeting with the German Foreign Minister Annalen Berobok in New York.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, the meeting was held as part of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
The department noted that at the meeting the parties focused on the process of integration of Georgia into the EU. Darchiashvili provided Berbok for detailed information about the efforts undertaken by Georgia to fulfill the recommendations of the European Commission.
The Foreign Minister considered the issues of the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation and close partnerships between the two countries. In this context, the importance of the visit of the German Foreign Ministry to Georgia this year was emphasized.
Darchiashvili thanked his colleague for decisive support by Germany of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.
