In North-east Of Afghanistan, An Earthquake Of Magnitude 5.4 Occurred

In the province of Badakhshan, an earthquake of magnitude 5.4

occurred in the north-east of Afghanistan.

According to the US Geological Service, the tremors were recorded at10.26 local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Ishashashi area. The focus lay at a depth of 224 km.

Information about any destruction as a result of the earthquake has not yet been received.

The earthquake was also felt in Kabul, the northern provinces of Afghanistan and neighboring countries – Tajikistan and Pakistan.

In the province of Badakhshan, extending in the Gindukush mountain ridges, earthquakes often occur.
