held prayers to mark the first anniversary of the victory in the 44-day World War II in the Orthodox Church in Azerbaijan. This was announced by press secretary of the Baku and Azerbaijan Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church, Archpriest Constantine Pominov.
“Today we have a thanksgiving service, and to thank God for giving the victory, for the fact that under the leadership of the Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev, our army was able to restore the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and return the occupied land,” – said Pominov
