Pakistan will not provide the United States military bases on its territory against the background of the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Shah Mehmud Kuresh, commenting on the information of the newspaper The New York Times on the negotiations between Washington and Islamabad on the topic of the provision of the American special services “Support” base for tracking the situation in Afghanistan and conducting counter-terrorism operations.

US President Joe Biden on April 14, 2021 announced plans to begin withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan in May and complete him by September 11, 2021.
