US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin for the first time publicly announced the provision of intelligence to Ukrainian forces to conduct operations in the Donbas. This is reported by CNN, writes “European True”.
According to the post when Austin performed before the Senate Committee on the Armed Forces, he was asked whether the United States was provided with intelligence in order to help Ukraine in attacks on Russian forces in the Donbas and Crimea.
“We provide them … Detaculated for such operations … in the Donbas. This is true,” Austin said in response to the question of Senator Tom Cotton.
Ukrainian media noted that for the first time the official representative publicly recognized the role of the United States in the operations of Ukraine in the Donbas, since the fighting is shifted from Kyiv towards the eastern and southern regions.
“We continue to provide useful information and intelligence for the armed forces of Ukraine in their struggle,” said the high-ranking representative of Ameri Kansky Ministry of Defense after Austin’s speech. “Since this struggle migrates to the Donbass region, we will adjust our information content and flow as needed,” he added.
