“Terrorist militants who return to Russia from hot spots are a threat to the country’s security, as they gain sabotage skills.” This was stated by Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Yuri Kokov.
According to him, these people have undergone ideological processing, gained sabotage and terrorist activities and are focused on autonomous propaganda and recruitment among the local population, preparation and implementation of terrorist attacks.
According to Kokov, another negative factor is the growth of the scale of illegal migration from Afghanistan and the states of the Middle East and North Africa, which provokes an increase in extremist activity and manifestation of xenophobia and nationalism.
