Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia continues to count Taiwan part of the People’s Republic of China, Interfax reports.
“Russia, like the vast majority of other countries of the world, considers Taiwan part of the Chinese People’s Republic. From this we proceed and we will proceed in our politics,” Lavrov said.
Although Taiwan is managed by his own administration since 1949, retains the flag and some other attributes of the former Chinese Republic, which existed on the mainland before coming to the power of the Communists, according to the official position of the PRC and Russia, is considered one of the Chinese provinces.
