In South Africa, Over 600 Children Have Died Due To Malnutrition

In 2024, more than 600 children died in the South African Republic (South Africa).

This was the head of the Ministry of Health of South Africa Aaron Mottsaadroi, commenting on children’s mortality due to a feed shortage in the country.

The minister noted that children’s mortality due to a lack of food was mainly observed in the province of Kvasulu-Natal in the east of the country, followed by the provinces of Limpopo, Eastern Cape and Gauteng.

According to the South African Ministry of Agriculture, about 40 million people are faced with a lack of food security in a country with a population of 63 million people.

On the other hand, South Africa, where agricultural exports last year reached a record level of $ 13.2 billion, is one of the leading exporting countries on the continent.
