In St. Petersburg, Panel Of Ministers Was Held As Part Of 7th Ethno-sports Forum

In St. Petersburg, as part of the 7th Ethnomotive Forum, organized under the motto “Revival of traditional sports”, a panel of ministers was held with the participation of representatives of the six countries. The event was held under the moderation of the Chairman of the World Confederation of Ethno -Sports (DEK) Bila Erdogan. The global information partner of the forum is the Anadolu agency.

The Minister of Youth and Sports of Turkey Osman Ashkyn Buck, Minister of Sports of Russia Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, Yerbol Myrzabosynov and Belarusian Minister of Sports and Tourism Sergey Kovalchuk, took part in the panel session.

Minister Osman Ashkyn Buck noted the importance of Turkey investment in traditional sports and emphasized efforts to develop sports tourism. “Ethnosport offers a different visit. This is a platform that plays a special role in the transfer of our culture to future generations. We are doing everything possible to popularize traditional sports,” the minister said.

Russian Minister of Sports Mikhail Degtyarev pointed to the unifying role of sports in multinational Russia: “Representatives of various ethnic groups live in our country, and sport unites them. We will continue to develop and promote our traditional sports.” He also emphasized that “sport should be out of politics” and that “there should not be discrimination in sports.”

Kazakh Minister Yerbol Myrzabosynov noted his country’s contribution to the promotion of traditional sports: “We are making significant efforts for the development and popularization of traditional sports.” He added that the current event is important to strengthen ties between the participating countries.

Sergey Kovalchuk from Belarus said that over the past 10 years, a lot has been done in the country for the development of traditional sports, and now six traditional disciplines have been supported in the country. He also recalled that Belarusian athletes first took part in world nomadic games in Kazakhstan and won medals.

The forum was also attended by the Chairman of the Board and the General Director of the Anadolu agency Serdar Karagoz.

The forum, organized with the participation of representatives of 75 countries, will continue for two days with panels, strategic sessions and discussions, which will discuss the prospects for the development and sustainability of traditional sports.
