In St. Petersburg, Russian-Bolivian ties were discussed

Relations between Russia and Bolivia are developing taking into account each other’s interests. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with a colleague from Bolivia Luis Alberto Arsa Katakora, who arrived in Russia on an official visit.

“As for bilateral relations, they develop between Russia and Bolivia on a solid foundation of each other’s interests. The total volume of turnover in monetary terms is still small, but it has good growth trends: the growth over the past year has amounted to more than two percent – Two and a half, ”said Putin.

He noted that there are interesting areas of cooperation, including in the field of high technology.

Rosatom carries out a good program and builds centers of nuclear research and technology in El Alto. Among the already commissioned are the largest radiopharmacological complex in Latin America, which already provides Bolivian clinics with the relevant drugs, ”the President of the Russian Federation said.

In turn, President of Bolivia announced the need to implement a project with a Russian company in the field of lithium in the country. “We expect work. We will work in other areas of cooperation between Russia and Bolivia,” said Arsa.

Negotiations began with the conversation of leaders in the format of TET-AT. Then international consultations continued in an expanded composition with the participation of delegation members, the Kremlin said.
