Today in St. Petersburg, a solemn ceremony of laying a stone was held at the place of the future monument to the founder of the modern professional music art of Azerbaijan, Uzeir Gagzhibekov, reports “Caucasian Herald”.
The monument will appear in the square, which also carries the name of the outstanding composer.
The author of the monument will be sculptor, academician of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Florentine Academy of Arts Aydin Zeynalov.
