Sweden sent Turkey a letter about specific steps to combat terrorism, which is one of the requirements put forward in connection with the membership of this country in NATO, the country’s Foreign Ministry said.
“We will continue the implementation of a tripartite agreement reached with Turkey and Finland. We took a lot of steps in connection with the agreement reached with Turkey, and we hope that this will be taken into account by Turkey,” said Tobias Billstrom, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden.
The letter also says that the Swedish security services “intensified their work against the PKK.”
