In Syrian Aleppo, Destroyed RSC/YPG Object Of Water Supply Is Restored

The water supply object in the Aleppo Syrian province, destroyed as a result of the bombardment of the YPG terrorist organization (Syrian wing of the RSC), will again be commissioned after technical work.

In December and January, the RSC/YPG terrorists attacked the water supply station in the Al-Hafsa area in the north of Aleppo using drones and missiles. The station provides water from about three million inhabitants of the region. As a result of attacks, two civilians were killed, the object of water supply was caused by significant damage.

Due to damage, the water supply station is currently operating only at 40 percent of its power.

Meanwhile, the engineer Hassan Haji said that the station in the Aleppo province consists of three treatment facilities and previously militants of the RSC/YPG struck it using missiles and drones and kamikaze.

The engineer noted that two station employees were killed as a result of attacks, and a serious damage was caused to the water supply object.

“The pumping rate of water decreased to 60 percent. Despite the lack of spare parts, difficulties with technical maintenance teams and safety risks, we continued our work,” he said.

Meanwhile, engineer Shekher Ahmed, working on treatment facilities in the Aleppo Center, said that about 13,500 cubic meters of water per hour are currently being supplied to the city.

“Work related to maintenance continues. The speed of water pumping in Aleppo in the coming period will increase even more,” he promised, noting that after the next maintenance of the station, the water would begin to be supplied to the Münbich area.
