In the cities of Hollandel-Beach, Aventura and Miami-Dad of the American state of Florida, on May 28, the Day of the Azerbaijan Republic was declared.
According to Haqqin.az with reference to the State Committee for Diaspora, the mayor of Hollandale-Beach Joy Cooper, the mayor of Aventura Enid Vaisman, chairman of the City Council of Miami-Diam Diaz and mayor Daniella Levin Kava signed the corresponding declarations.
Signed documents indicate the history of the creation of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, strategic relations and partnership between the USA and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The active participation of Azerbaijanis living in America, in the public life of Florida, their contribution to diversity, intercultural understanding, peace and well-being in the region, the role of the US-Azerbaijani culture association.

Officials of all three cities called on local residents to join this holiday and together to celebrate the contribution of the Azerbaijani people.
The decisions were made on the basis of the appeal of the chairman of the American-Azerbaijani Association of Culture Tokhfa Eminova.
