In Turkey, they are preparing for the serial production of the domestic armored vehicle Akrep II 4×4.
Representatives of the Otokar new developer company reported that AKRep II successfully withstood all the tests, including in the framework of shooting with weapons of various calibers.
Otokar noted that AKRep II armored vehicles are also tested in various countries in order to monitor compatibility with local geographical conditions.
Note that a number of names of Otokar products today are supplied to a number of NATO countries, and is also involved in UN missions.
“taking into account the wishes of customers, we prepare various modifications of the AKREP II armored vehicle, which is designed to install various weapons systems, up to 90 mm,” said Otokar.
The company recalled that the Akrep II electrical version was presented in 2019, and diesel – in 2021.
The range of capabilities of the armored vehicle is wide: from intelligence and monitoring to the fight against air goals and armored vehicles.
