Flights in balloons become one of the main areas of tourism in Turkey, which not only helps to increase tourist flow, but also an increase in income in this area.
According to the President of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (Türsab) of Firuz Baglykai, by 2030, the number of passengers of air tours can reach two million thanks to new routes.
In an interview with Anadolu, Baglyka noted that today the world tourist industry is increasingly focusing on the growth of income, and not just the number of tourists.
“Demand for products with high added value continues to grow, and this determines the development vector. Tourism in balloons is one of the most important areas, which has huge potential. Türsab has focused on the diversification of tourism services, which will undoubtedly increase our country’s income from Tourism, ”he emphasized.

The President of Türsab spoke about the new project “The Century of Tourism”, which started in the Turkish city of Burdura. The main goal of the program is to attract tourists with a higher level of income through the development of year-round tourism throughout the country.
One of the key directions was the organization of balloon flights over Lake Sald, known as the Turkish Maldives. This natural miracle is now available not only for local residents, but also for foreign tourists.
At the moment, 71 operator of balloons licensed by the Turkish Civil Aviation Office (SHGM) operate in Turkey. Flights are performed in eight regions, however, Türsab plans to significantly expand the direction of flights.
“We see a huge potential for air tourism in other regions of the country. Thanks to new directions and the development of infrastructure, we expect to increase the number of passengers of air tours to 2 million by 2030,” Baglyka said.
