The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved a new national plan of action to counteract human trafficking in 2025-2029. It is reported by Torkmenportal.
The plan was presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov at a government meeting. The document was prepared in cooperation with the International Migration Organization (IMO) and the United Nations Office for drugs and crime (UNP UN).
Previously, similar national plans for the periods of 2016-2018 and 2020-2022 have already been implemented in the country.
