The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, presented the country’s president Serdar Berdimuhamedov a road map of cooperation with the United States at 2023-2024. This was announced on Tuesday by the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan” following the results of the working meeting of the head of state with members of the government.
As notes the publication, the roadmap was developed following the visit of the Turkmen delegation led by Meredov to the United States, which was held on April 23-24.
Roadmap was created in order to activate partnerships between Turkmenistan and the USA. The Foreign Minister also submitted proposals for strengthening the legal framework of relations and preparing the framework plan of organizing visits at various levels.
Berdimuhamedov approved the proposals, noting that Turkmen-American cooperation develops dynamically both in bilateral and multilateral formats.
The country’s president instructed to continue to strengthen the existing solid potential in the partnership of the two states.
During the visit of Meredov, I met with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The parties noted that it is necessary to intensify cooperation, while the main direction should be advanced digital technologies and innovative approaches.
