The State Palace in Ulan Bator began the International Forum “Transalta Dialogue for Sustainable Development”, Montsame reports.
The organizers of the forum are the Great State Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia, the University of Stanford University of the United States and the Pan Gi Foundation of the Republic of Korea.
The event is aimed at accelerating the implementation of goal 16 in the field of sustainable development by activating multifaceted cooperation and partnerships between representatives of states, scientific circles and civil society.
Over 300 delegates from 11 countries take part in the forum, including the chairman of the Great State Khural Gombozhazhkin Zandanshatar, the Pan Hi Moon Foundation, the Eighth Secretary General of the UN Pan Gi Moon and the chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh (parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurlanbek Shakiev, Which is on an official visit to Mongolia, the deputy speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, Loyk Shandor, deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group of Kazakhstan-Mongolia, the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Rakhmetov Asem Kalashbaev, director of the Center for Asia and Pacific Studies of the University of Gi-Vuki Shin.
