In United States doubted official mortality data from COVID-19

The American Institute for Measuring Indicators and Health Assessment (IHME) doubted the official data on mortality from COVID-19. This is reported on the website of the Institute.

In IHME, it was noted that from the beginning of the pandemic from coronavirus infection, about 6.9 million people died around the world. However, according to the latest official data, the number of victims of COVID-19 in the world is 3.2 million people.

In the Institute’s statement, it is clarified that published data includes only deaths directly related to coronavirus infection, while experts did not take into account death cases due to the overload of the health system during a pandemic.
