In west of Japan, an earthquake of magnitude 6 occurred

In the Ishikawa Prefecture in the west of Japan, an earthquake of magnitude 6.0.

According to the Japanese meteorological agency (JMA), the underground tremors were recorded at 06:31 local time at a depth of 10 km.

Tsunami warning was not received.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the city of Suzu in the northeast of the Nuto Peninsula.

The second earthquake of magnitude 4.8 was recorded in the same region at 06.40 local time.

As a result of the earthquake, five buildings collapsed on the peninsula.
